In rugby league the players are the lifeblood of the sport. Since it is a much smaller game than football with regards to numbers of fans there is a far greater community spirit and more of a chance for a player to rise from the amateur leagues into full blown professional rugby league. With the addition of the super league and the staggering of the conference divisions this facilitates teams and players moving from group to group depending on their performance. The player is also important to the fans, they are the face of the game, and can be treated as both heroes or villains depending on thier performance on the field and sometimes (in our modern media driven age) their behaviour off the field. On this section of the website you will find many player profiles for the top players in rugby league.
